Events coordinator

Simon is based at the University of Edinburgh.

His professional background and expertise is in the field of event management and communications.

Simon has worked in events over the past nine years, both in Australia and more recently here in the UK, coordinating the fundraising events across the UK for non-profit organisation Football Aid and working as Events Manager for the events catering company Appetite Direct.

He joined the University of Edinburgh at the beginning of 2013, initially running the events programme for the School of Law before moving across to the School of Political and Social Sciences in November 2013.

Simon’s time is split between What Works Scotland and the University of Edinburgh’s Europa Institute and Academy of Government, where he is principally responsible for events and communications.

Simon recently completed an Executive Certificate in Event Management (Jan 2014), run by both the Australian Institute for Event Management and the Edinburgh Institute for Festival Event Management, Edinburgh Napier University.
