The report was based on interviews with people from the social, public and private sectors, and it contained different perspectives and solutions to society’s key challenges, creating a conversational start point, not a blueprint for action.
The report contained a clear message that all three sectors need to collaborate—particularly the social and private sectors. The report and discussion focused on the similarities the social and private sectors share. Does equating individual ambition and company profit run the risk of obscuring the very real challenges for social private sector partnerships in bridging the difference between pursuing a social mission, and private profit?
