Christian Storstein from the Scottish Government’s Digital Engagement team blogs about attending the Democratic Sector Day, organised by Oliver Escobar and colleagues from What Works Scotland.
The first session focused on what a participative democracy looks like and what conditions need to be put in place to make it happen.
In the second session Christian and a colleague led a discussion about digital participative tools. The participants agreed there were lots of tools out there, developed by both the private and public sector, but that there was a disconnect between these two worlds.
