Author: Dr Hayley Bennett, What Works Scotland

Date: 1 February 2018

In this blog, What Works Scotland research fellow Dr Hayley Bennett outlines some key ideas from her recent presentation on collaborative practice and public service reform in Scotland.

The What Works Scotland research team has been working to initiate, nurture and undertake collaborative research with public and third sector organisations. Dr Bennett took part in a one-day event Refocusing Scottish Public Services: Applying Christie Commission Principles (30th January 2018).

The blog looks at the development and sharing of public policy lessons, and the delivery of joined-up working and integration. It examines collaborative governance and why it matters, and why we must focus on such to address long-standing issues such as social inequality.
