Power, health and social justice is the focus for the next event in the Healthier Futures Forum, organised by Glasgow Centre for Population Health (GCPH).

It will look at how power might be redistributed more equally with communities and how we can collectively realise the vision for greater community empowerment in Scotland.

There will be the opportunity to see and discuss discuss the evidence behind the new animation produced by a collaboration between Health Scotland and GCPH on Power as a Health and Social Justice issue, explore the national context (including the Community Empowerment Act) and provide opportunities to share perspectives, experiences and learning with those who are already working to empower communities in different settings.

What Works Scotland Co-director Oliver Escobar will give a short presentation on How power inequalities shape policy conversations, and what we can do about it?

The event takes place in Glasgow on Tuesday 28 November 2017, from 9am to 1pm.
